Grüner Veltliner Ried Steinhaus Große Reserve Sekt 2018

The Grüner Veltliner wine from Ried Steinhaus is deeply ingrained in its terroir, characterized by wheathered, hard granite soil layered with a light humus. This soil composition coupled with the vineyard's slightly southwest orientation, ensures optimal sunlight exposure. 

The winemaking process is meticulous and time-honored, beginning with the base wine aging in large acacia wood barrels for 8 months. This imparts subtle yet distinctive notes of oak and enhances complexity. Following it, the wine undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle, where it rests on the fine yeast for an extended period of several years. Each bottle is meticulously labeled with the disgorgement date, allowing for full transparency and ensuring the wine's evolution and maturity.

The resulting sparkling wine is of exceptional quality and character. On the nose, there are layers of flavors unfold, revealing nuances of ripe fruits and subtle oak. On the palate, it offers an integrated blend of minerality, fruitiness, and complexity, inviting the drinker to savor its richness and appreciate the artistry behind its creation!
