For the third year in a row, Brad Pitt’s Fleur de Miraval Champagne will be served to the stars at the Academy Awards ceremony.
Pitt, who has been nominated for seven Oscars since his breakthrough role as a cowboy hitchhiker in Thelma & Louise (1991), won Best Supporting Actor in 2020 for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Best Picture in 2014 for producing 12 Years a Slave. While he isn't nominated for any awards this year, his Champagne will play a pivotal role in refreshing the guests at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on March 10.
The Hollywood star ventured into the wine industry in 2011 by purchasing Château Miraval in Provence. Partnering with the Perrin family, owners of Château Beaucastel in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Pitt has embarked on various wine projects, culminating in the creation of the Fleur de Miraval Champagne House alongside the Péters family, renowned winemakers. Fleur de Miraval is the only Champagne house devoted exclusively to rosé.
This year marks Fleur de Miraval Rosé Champagne’s third consecutive appearance at the Oscars, following its replacement of long-standing partner Piper-Heidsieck in 2022. Piper-Heidsieck had been the official Champagne of the Academy Awards for seven years.
In 2020, Fleur de Miraval released 20,000 bottles of a limited-edition Champagne called Exclusivement Rosé, followed by ER2 the next year. In 2023, they introduced both ER3 and a new cuvée named Petite Fleur.
Marc Perrin of the Perrin family commented, "We all know Brad Pitt as this incredible artist of the silver screen. His dedication to the arts and his craft matches our family’s dedication to the art of winemaking. Together, and with Rodolphe Péters – whose roots are in the heart of Champagne – we’ve been able to create, develop, and grow the offerings of this unique House."
