Led by Federico Giotto, the group’s head winemaker, Purcari oversees a diverse portfolio of wineries renowned for their distinctive terroirs and quality productions.
Château Purcari
Château Purcari stands as a historic cornerstone within the group, celebrated for its rich heritage and premium wines. Nestled in Moldova, this estate epitomizes the Purcari Group’s commitment to crafting wines of excellence rooted in tradition.
Bostavan Winery
Founded in 2002, Bostavan Winery represents the Purcari Group’s exploration into Moldova’s diverse viticultural landscape. Situated in regions like Etulia and Codru, Bostavan cultivates red and white grape varieties across nearly 850 hectares. The winery is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, focusing on producing modern and fruit-forward wines acclaimed under labels such as Ed Knows, Daos, Dor, Wine Crime, and Farmers Against the Machine.
Crama Ceptura
In neighboring Romania’s prestigious Dealu Mare region, Crama Ceptura is celebrated as one of the country’s foremost wineries. With 180 hectares nestled along the 45th parallel, Crama Ceptura cultivates a range of international and local grape varieties, including Fetească Regală and Fetească Neagră. Its collections such as Magnus Monte, Astrum Cervi, and Cervus Cepturum showcase the region’s exceptional terroir.
Angel’s Estate
Since its acquisition in 2022, Angel’s Estate has been pivotal in spotlighting Bulgaria’s vibrant wine scene. Located near the Zhrebchevo dam in the Thracian Lowlands, this modern estate boasts 100 hectares of vineyards producing plush, velvety reds. The winery’s prestigious collections like Stallion, Deneb, Angel, and Cattleya continue to garner accolades for their quality and distinctiveness.
Commitment to Sustainability
The Purcari Group is committed to sustainable practices across its operations. Led by Gheorghe Arpentin, the group has initiated biodiversity protection projects in key nature reserves and implemented eco-friendly measures such as solar panels and subsurface irrigation. By 2027, the estate aims for full organic production across 25 hectares, further reducing agro-chemical usage and enhancing soil health.
Social Responsibility
Beyond viticulture, the Purcari Group actively engages in social responsibility initiatives. Recently establishing a charitable foundation, the group supports community welfare, education, healthcare, and sports. During times of crisis, such as the Ukrainian refugee situation, Château Purcari transformed into emergency accommodations, exemplifying its commitment to humanitarian aid.
