Purcari Wineries Public Company Limited has informed investors and the market that it has submitted a formal, non-binding indicative offer regarding the potential acquisition of 100% of the share capital of SERVE Ceptura SRL.
If completed, the transaction would represent a strategic step in strengthening Purcari’s presence in Romania’s most prestigious wine region, Dealu Mare. The acquisition would expand the Group’s vineyard surface by approximately 60 hectares and add complementary production capacity to its existing operations.
A key advantage of the proposed transaction lies in the geographical proximity of the two wineries. SERVE Ceptura’s winery is located just 1.5 kilometers from Purcari’s own Ceptura winery, enabling immediate operational synergies. These include improved efficiency across the value chain, optimized logistics, and the consolidation of Purcari’s Dealu Mare production platform.

Beyond the operational rationale, the proposed transaction reflects a shared vision rooted in the legacy of Guy de Poix, the founder of SERVE Ceptura. The focus is on building authentic Romanian wine brands that express terroir and heritage. By bringing together two producers deeply committed to authenticity and terroir—while leveraging Purcari’s scale and international footprint—the Group aims to further strengthen Romania’s presence on global wine markets.
About SERVE Ceptura SRL
Founded in 1994 by Count Guy de Poix and Mihaela Tyrel de Poix, SERVE Ceptura SRL was the first private winery established in Romania after 1989. The winery is located in Ceptura, within the DOC Dealu Mare appellation, widely regarded as Romania’s most renowned wine region.
SERVE Ceptura manages approximately 60 hectares of vineyards and produces around 0.5 million bottles annually. The winery operates full-cycle vinification facilities with a storage capacity of approximately 1 million liters.

Completion remains subject to the negotiation and execution of final transaction documents, including a share purchase agreement (SPA), as well as the receipt of all required corporate and regulatory approvals. These include approval from Romania’s Commission for the Examination of Foreign Direct Investments (CEISD). As such, there is no assurance that the transaction will ultimately be completed.
