Over 50 Moldovan wineries are present at one of the most prestigious and important international events dedicated to the wine and alcoholic beverages industry, the exhibition ProWein-2024, staged in Düsseldorf, Germany.
"This year marks a historical moment for the wine-making sector of Moldova: a revolutionary wine, Chelaris, created with the help of the artificial intelligence, is launched. Chelaris is a fusion between the century-old wine heritage of the country and the most advanced technologies. The guests are expected till 12 March, at the Wine of Moldova stand, in order to celebrate the innovating spirit, the riches of traditions and the authentic taste of our wines," the Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry (MAIA) Vladimir Bolea said.
One day before the starting of the exhibition, Deputy Prime Minister, Agriculture and Food Industry Minister Vladimir Bolea and the state secretary, Andrian Digolean, participated in the Meininger Award Gala 2024. At this event, held in the presence of about 500 guests, prizes for Excellence in wine and spirit were awarded. Six important personalities from the world’s industry of alcoholic beverages were honored at the 18th edition of the Meininger Awards.
The host of the event was Meininger Verlag, the organizer of the international contest of wines Mundus Vini. "At this year edition, the wineries from Moldova managed to get a record number of medals. Thus, Moldova is considered as the country from the Eastern Europe with the largest number of prizes awarded," the Agriculture Ministry said.
The ProWein exhibition is annually organized in Düsseldorf. The event brings together thousands of exhibitors, visitors, sommeliers, traders and experts from all over the world.
