LVMH Announces Key Leadership Appointments for 2025

LVMH, the world leader in luxury goods, has unveiled significant changes to its executive leadership team following consultations with the Sustainability and Governance Committee of its Board of Directors.

These strategic appointments, announced by Bernard Arnault, Chairman and CEO of LVMH, will strengthen the Group's focus on growth, innovation, and operational excellence.

Leadership Changes in Human Resources and Finance

Effective December 1, 2024, Maud Alvarez-Pereyre will assume the role of Executive Vice President of Human Resources for the LVMH Group. She will join the Executive Committee, reflecting the importance of HR in driving the Group’s global talent strategy and organizational development.

On February 1, 2025, Cécile Cabanis, currently a member of the Executive Committee, will take over as Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Jean-Jacques Guiony. Cabanis’s expertise in finance and governance will be pivotal in steering LVMH’s financial strategies and maintaining its leadership in the luxury sector.

Changes in the Wines and Spirits Division

A major focus of the announcement is the leadership transition at Moët Hennessy, LVMH’s Wines and Spirits division.

  • Jean-Jacques Guiony, a veteran member of the Executive Committee, will assume the role of President and Chief Executive Officer of Moët Hennessy as of February 1, 2025. Guiony brings extensive financial and strategic expertise to this position, succeeding Philippe Schaus, who is stepping down after 21 years with LVMH to pursue non-executive opportunities. Schaus will provide guidance during the transition period in the first half of 2025, ensuring continuity and support for the new leadership.
  • Alexandre Arnault, a key figure in LVMH’s strategic initiatives, will serve as Deputy CEO of Moët Hennessy, working closely with Guiony to drive innovation and growth in the division.
  • Charles Delapalme will take over as President and CEO of Hennessy, succeeding Laurent Boillot, whose new role within the Group will be announced soon.

Expansion of the Executive Committee

LVMH is also broadening its Executive Committee.

  • Guillaume Motte, currently President and CEO of Sephora, will join the committee effective January 1, 2025. Motte’s leadership has been instrumental in enhancing Sephora’s global presence, and his appointment reflects the growing importance of the cosmetics division within LVMH’s portfolio.

Strategic Focus

These appointments underline LVMH’s commitment to leveraging its vast pool of talent and experience to maintain its position as a leader in the luxury industry. By promoting internal expertise and ensuring smooth transitions, the Group aims to sustain its robust performance across its diverse sectors, from fashion and beauty to wines and spirits.
