Portugal Porto Kopke Port House Portwine

Introducing The Library Collection by Kopke

Kopke, renowned as the world’s oldest port house, has unveiled The Library Collection, a prestigious assortment of some of the rarest wines globally.

This exclusive collection features a trio of meticulously selected bottlings, aged together in 400-litre barriques within Kopke’s cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia since the early 20th century.

The limited-edition release comprises only 385 units and includes a Very Very Old Tawny, a Vermouth, and a Quinine. Notably, the collection exhausts the entire stock available of the Vermouth and Quinine, crafted using an ancient and closely guarded recipe.

Carlos Alves, the master blender and winemaker at Sogevinus Fine Wines, expressed pride in presenting these exceptional wines from Kopke’s extensive library. He remarked, "Kopke’s collection of old wines, including remarkably rare White and Tawny ports, has solidified its reputation as a producer of some of the finest Port wines. We are honored to have unearthed these three remarkable wines from Kopke’s historical archives for The Library Collection."

Drawing inspiration from Kopke’s exclusivity, values, and rich heritage, the collection reflects a careful recreation and reinterpretation of iconic elements, resulting in an original, aspirational, and unparalleled offering.

Enthusiasts and collectors can acquire The Library Collection from Vintage Wine & Ports, priced at GBP 3,000 (EUR 3,522) per unit.
