Franciacorta, one of Italy’s most celebrated sparkling wine territories, continues to rise as a symbol of excellence, youthfulness, and entrepreneurial vision in the world of fine wine.
With an innovative communication and promotion strategy, this region has masterfully blended its unique qualities with global prestige. By associating itself with high-profile brands and events like the Michelin Guide Italy and USA, the Emmy Awards, 1000 Miglia, Porsche, and Milan Fashion Week, Franciacorta has transcended the boundaries of wine, firmly establishing itself as a lifestyle and luxury icon.
A Record Year for Franciacorta
The year 2024 ended on a high note for Franciacorta. According to the Franciacorta Consortium, total sales volumes reached 19,128,814 equivalent bottles, with an average shelf price of EUR 24.5 per bottle (VAT included). This increase in value demonstrates a growing appreciation for Franciacorta’s quality and identity, even amid global economic challenges.
While the domestic market remains a stronghold, Franciacorta’s exports have shown consistent growth in both value and volume. The United States stands out as a key market, contributing 12.6% of total exports in 2024, followed by Switzerland (22.1%), Japan, Germany, and Belgium. This global demand reflects a heightened interest in the authenticity and exceptional craftsmanship of Franciacorta wines.
A Vision for Growth and Sustainability
Led by Silvano Brescianini, President of the Franciacorta Consortium, the region’s success lies in its unwavering commitment to quality and innovation. "We have worked to strengthen our presence on international markets, always focusing on quality, an element that has allowed us to grow in value and consolidate our position," Brescianini stated.
Looking ahead, Franciacorta is preparing to make 2025 a landmark year with an ambitious lineup of events, strategic collaborations, and digital campaigns. The aim? To expand its global footprint while continuing to honor the traditions and values that define its identity.
