Wine Tasting
- Cricova Amplius 2018 (EUR 45): Crafted from Merlot grapes harvested in 2016 from the best plantations in the South of Moldova. The grapes were picked overripe and left to raisin at controlled temperature and humidity, followed by long fermentation and maceration. The wine then aged for 2 years in "Limousin" French oak barrels, similar to "Amarone" wines. It is intense ruby in color with an expressive bouquet of forest fruits (blackberries, blackcurrants), hints of wood, and spices. Full-bodied, with well-polished sweet tannins and a long aftertaste.
- Crama Mircești Feteasca Neagră 2020 (EUR 100): Description: Made entirely from Feteasca Neagră grapes sourced from the best plantations in Mircești, harvested in 2020 during the pandemic year. Fermented for 30 days in open vats and matured for 18 months in oak barriques. Intense ruby color with a concentrated bouquet of black fruits, raisins, and bitter cherries. Fruity and full-bodied on the palate with fine oak notes and a lingering aftertaste.
- Purcari Winery Purcari Black 2015 (EUR 100): Description: An iconic blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Saperavi, and Răra Neagră from Purcari Winery. Matured for 18 months in French oak barrels, it boasts a ruby red hue with intense aromas of berries and chocolate. Smooth on the palate with persistent, velvety tannins and a long aftertaste.
- Chateau Vartely Taraboste Tribute Saperavi 2018 (EUR 40): Description: A premium Saperavi wine from the Taraboste brand by Chateau Vartely. Made from Saperavi grapes harvested in 2018, vinified with long contact with oak and matured for 14 months in French barriques. Deep purple color with an expressive bouquet of spices, cedar, and forest fruits. Balanced with pleasant astringency, expressive tannins, and complexity.
- Castel Mimi Negru de Bulboaca 2018 (EUR 110): Description: A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Saperavi, and Rara Neagră from the 2018 harvest, matured for 28 months in Radoux author barriques. Intense purple color with a complex bouquet of dried fruits, plums, and cherries. Full-bodied with firm tannins and a long aftertaste, credited with a life expectancy of up to 30 years.
