Following the resignation of long-time COO Andrea Lonardi, Angelini Wines & Estates has announced a change in leadership with the appointment of Alberto Lusini as the new Managing Director, effective May 1, 2024.
Lusini will succeed Ettore Nicoletto, who has been at the helm since March 2020. The decision, according to Angelini Wines & Estates, was reached jointly and by mutual agreement.
Alberto Lusini brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having studied engineering and business administration at the University of Bologna. With a distinguished career spanning 15 years in the wine industry, Lusini has held key positions at renowned companies such as Mezzacorona Group, Allegrini Group, and Lunelli Group (Ferrari), where he served as Export Director.
Notably, Lusini spent the last four years in a senior role at Massimo Zanetti Beverage Group, gaining invaluable insights and expertise. His diverse background and deep understanding of the industry make him a strategic choice for Angelini Wines & Estates as they navigate the global market.
"We thank Ettore for his contributions to the growth of AW&E and wish him every success in his future endeavors," remarked Sergio Marullo di Condojanni, Managing Director of Angelini Industries. "We welcome Alberto, who will continue the path of positioning and growth of our wine brands in an increasingly global market."
Angelini Wines & Estates, a division of Angelini Industries, encompasses six wineries boasting a total of 460 hectares of vineyards. With three wineries in Tuscany – Val di Suga, Tenuta Tre Rose, and San Leonino – and others spread across regions like Marche, Friuli, and Valpolicella, the group's portfolio is diverse and esteemed. Their annual wine production stands at approximately 4 million bottles, a testament to their commitment to quality and excellence in winemaking.
