Armenia to Host 8th UN Tourism Global Conference on Wine Tourism

Armenia, a country renowned for its ancient winemaking tradition dating back over six centuries, is set to take center stage as the host of the 8th UN Tourism Global Conference on Wine Tourism.

Scheduled to take place from September 11 to September 13 later this year, the event will offer delegates a unique opportunity to explore Armenia's rich vinicultural heritage and discuss strategies to enhance sustainability and inclusivity in wine tourism.

One of the highlights of the conference will be a visit to the Areni-1 cave, situated near the picturesque Areni village in Southern Armenia. This cave holds the distinction of being the world's oldest winery discovered to date, providing attendees with a fascinating glimpse into the ancient origins of winemaking.
