On Wednesday, July 2nd, wine enthusiasts in Linz are invited to step off the beaten path and into the vineyards of Moldova for a unique White Wine Tasting hosted at the charming Haschka Winebar.
From 18:00 to 21:00, guests will explore a curated selection of white wines that capture the soul of one of Europe’s most underrated wine regions.
Moldova may not yet be on every wine lover’s radar, but it should be. Nestled between Romania and Ukraine, this small country boasts ancient winemaking traditions, distinctive grape varieties, and a climate well-suited for aromatic and expressive white wines.
The tasting begins with a welcome drink:
• Radacini Fiori Viorica – a beautifully floral and crisp introduction to Moldova’s native Viorica grape.
The experience then unfolds with six wines that highlight both local character and international flair:
• Radacini Wines Brut – a refreshing sparkling blend of Chardonnay and Riesling.
• TeWa Fetească Albă – a native Moldovan white with elegance and finesse.
• Fautor Blanca Albariño – vibrant, mineral, and unexpected from Eastern Europe.
• Fautor Aurore Chardonnay – well-balanced with ripe fruit and subtle oak.
• TeWa Sauvignon Blanc – lively and herbaceous, ideal for summer sipping.
To finish the evening, guests are treated to a bonus pour:
• Radacini Metier Brut, a premium traditional-method sparkling wine that showcases Moldova’s growing expertise in elegant bubbles.
This event isn’t just a tasting — it’s a celebration of craftsmanship, culture, and curiosity. Whether you're a sommelier-in-training or simply love discovering new wines, this evening promises to surprise and delight.
